How to save grandma’s recipes before they are lost

Every family has one cook whose dishes nobody else quite gets right, and most families realise too late that nothing was written down.

Start with what exists

Gather the handwritten cards, the notebook, the loose pages inside cookbook covers. Photograph each one with your phone. That is the whole job: Bhook reads the handwriting, in her language, and turns each photo into a clean recipe while keeping the original image forever.

Then capture what was never written

  1. Sit with her and record a voice note: just her, telling the dish the way she would tell you. Bhook writes it up.
  2. Better still, film her cooking it once. A phone video is enough; Bhook watches it, listens, and writes the recipe.
  3. Ask for the corrections. The written card often says one thing and her hands do another; her voice note is the true version.

Make it the family’s, not one phone’s

A recipe saved on one person’s phone is one lost handset from gone. In Bhook, each recipe can be shared as a real page anyone in the family can open, and the vault itself is built to outlive any single device.

The best day to do this was ten years ago. The second best is the next Sunday lunch.

Try it with one recipe, right now.

Three recipes free. No card needed. The original photo is kept forever, next to the clean version.
