Which languages does Bhook read?

Bhook reads a handwritten card, a voice note or a video in the language it is in, Hindi and Hinglish included, and keeps the recipe in that same language unless you choose another.

You can also have a recipe written in any of 21 languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Russian, Polish, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai. The app itself is in English.

What happens to the photos, videos and voice notes I upload?

To read the recipe out of an upload, its contents are sent to our AI providers (OpenAI and/or Anthropic). They process it to return the recipe. We do not use your uploads to train models, and we do not sell them.

The original stays in your private vault next to the recipe, served only to you. If you publish a recipe, only its text is shared, never your photos, videos or email address. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

How much can I store?

Every paid plan includes 2 GB for your originals: the photos, videos and voice notes you upload, and any dish pictures Bhook makes for you. A free account has 200 MB, enough to try it properly. You can delete an upload any time and get the space back.

Can our cook use Bhook?

Yes. In the app, open your account menu, choose My cook and send your cook the invite link (it works for 7 days). They sign in with their own account and get a read-only view of your vault: your recipes, the week's meal plan, the grocery list and Cook Mode.

They can't change or publish anything, and they only see pictures, not your other originals. One cook per vault, and either of you can end it any time.

Can I get a refund?

If Bhook doesn't do what we said it would, email [email protected] within 14 days and we'll refund you. Purchases made through Apple are refunded by Apple under their policy.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Account, then Delete my account. It removes your recipes, every uploaded original, your meal plans, your credits, your reviews, anything you published and all your sessions. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

What does it cost?

Bhook is free for your first three recipes, and no card is needed to start. After that there is a monthly plan, a yearly plan, and a pay-once lifetime plan while the first 1,000 Founder seats last. AI reads of photos, voice notes and videos are paid from prepaid credit, not from the plan. Prices are on the pricing page.
